Community Engagement

At Bricolage, we take parent, family and community engagement very seriously.  We want all members of our school community to feel welcome and once the school is open, all will be encouraged to visit and volunteer in the school as often as possible.  As a guiding philosophy, we subscribe to the research and frameworks provided by the National Center for School Engagement and Joyce Epstein’s Framework for Family and Community Involvement.

For now, though, we are most interested in hearing from New Orleans residents: parents, families and community members.  We regularly organize community engagement public meetings to initiate discussion among residents and gather feedback on Bricolage’s mission and school design.
